EVE has an in-game web browser. A bad, outdated one, but it has one. It can do stuff. Were it updated, it could probably do more stuff.
From what we've seen of services such as PSNow, it is possible to both stream and interact with a video at the same time -- controlling, and at the very least viewing, a game that is not being run on your actual system. This isn't the first time such technology has revealed itself, as OnLive did something similar for PC some time ago. It never really took off, however.
This is, in my opinion, bad for actual gaming. That slight input delay compromises the quality of a game. And the mythical entity known as "The Cloud", simply being a network of servers, is overhyped nonsense that's been around forever under a far less mythical name.
But in the EVE-Dust link sense, I do wonder at the potential. Is technology at the point where video of EVE can be streamed in-game to a non-PS3 driven Dust, so ships in orbit can be seen as they get hit from a skyfire battery?
Can a Tacnet view of the in-game Dust map be shown using updated frame work of EVE's browser so it can support interaction in the form of an EVE capsuleer directly controlling where his orbitals get placed?
These are the things I wonder about. But I do hope they would head in that direction.

Good for some games I would say, and specific actions. I would never play a game like Ninja Gaiden on it though. Way too unreliable for anything requiring that kind of reaction.
The problem is that industry leaders want everything to be on "The Cloud", and that would see the elimination of such games. For that reason it absolutely cannot be allowed to gain traction in such capacity. But for other things, I see use.
